Become a Firefighter

The Pittsburg Fire Department is a member of the Tri-State Fire Recruitment Alliance. The Alliance periodically conducts pre-employment written and Physical Ability Testing (PAT) to establish a hiring pool for a 12-month period. Applicants for Police Officer must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment.  In addition to the City of Pittsburg application, applicants must complete the supplemental information form for police department applicants.
