The City of Pittsburg and Downtown Advisory Board is inviting the community to participate in the fourth annual 620 Day Celebration taking place Tuesday, June 20. The idea of 620 Day (or June 20) comes from Pittsburg’s area code 6-2-0! The purpose of this annual event is to cultivate pride and celebrate the Pittsburg community.
All businesses and organizations in the community (not just in downtown) are encouraged to celebrate 620 Day all day long with activities, promotions, discounts, and special offers, or showcase their organization that day in a fun or unique way. If your business is interested in participating, sign up at http://www.pittks.org/620day/ and the DAB will list your 620 Day activity on social media and on the city’s website.
To wrap up the city-wide day of celebration, the DAB is hosting a 620 Day Block Party at 2nd Street & Broadway from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, complete with food, music, and vendors and much more along the street and inside the Pritchett Pavilion. Food vendors, businesses, and other organizations can register to participate in the block party at http://www.pittks.org/620day/.
