Burglary and Theft Arrest

On Friday, March 20, 2020 at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers of the Pittsburg Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence, located in the 900 block of East 9th Street. The homeowner, who was out of town at the time, reported a security camera located in the interior had activated and there was a male subject currently in the home. The homeowner was able to monitor the subject moving through his residence and provide a description to responding officers, until the camera shut down after being unplugged.
As officers arrived at the residence, they encountered a male subject coming out the back door. The subject was detained and found to be in possession of several items of property taken from the residence. The subject was later identified as Ryan Joseph Allan Williams, 28, of Pittsburg. Williams was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail where he faces the following charges:
Burglary of a Residence
Felony Theft
Criminal Damage to Property
Interfering or Obstructing an Officer
Williams was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest. He is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond on the charges related to the burglary incident and a $411 cash only bond on the arrest warrant.
