City Commission Adopts New Parking Ordinance

PITTSBURG, KS – The Governing Body, in its meeting on March 12, 2024, adopted Ordinance No. G-1358 of Pittsburg City Code to prohibit the parking of vehicles on lawns, grass, or landscaped area and setting a penalty for violations.

The ordinance was necessary to address vehicle safety, environmental concerns, affects on city infrastructure, and underground utilities.

Tickets will be $25 for the 1^st offense and increasing for each additional offense.
