City Press Releases
April 20, 2022
PITTSBURG, KS – Starting Monday, April 25, construction crews will begin work on the main entrance of city hall to improve the accessibility of the building for residents and customers.
The project includes new stairs and a ramp to replace the crumbling steps at the front entrance. These features will make city hall more accessible and ADA compliant.
The main entrance to city hall will be closed during construction. Citizens can still use the east or west side entrances of city hall if they need to do business in-person. A fence will be put around the front perimeter up to the sidewalk, with the front parking spaces being utilized for construction materials. Parking will be available behind city hall on the south side of the building, or on the east and west side.
Construction is expected to be completed by September, weather permitting.
Call (620) 231-4100 or visit www.pittks.org for information about this project, to make a utility payment, or access city hall services.
