PITTSBURG, KS – The City of Pittsburg is now accepting applications to fill an unexpired term on the Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC).
The city is looking for a property owner or renter to represent the northwest quadrant of Pittsburg (north of 4th Street, and west of Broadway Street).
The NAC is comprised of 12 volunteer board members, each serving a two-year term. Volunteers to the board are residents living within the Pittsburg city limits who represent all four quadrants within the city.
The NAC was created in 2023 to support the city-wide cleanup efforts and create a council of citizens that can access both public and private resources; and provide leadership, support, and information on neighborhood issues.
The Neighborhood Advisory Council meets at noon on the first Wednesday of each month at Memorial Auditorium.
Those interested in volunteering may apply in person at City Hall, 201 W. 4th St, Pittsburg, or contact City Clerk Tammy Nagel at (620) 230-5532. The application is also available online at http://www.pittks.org/nac. Applications must be completed and returned to the City Clerk’s office on or before Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
