City of Pittsburg seeks candidates for Downtown Advisory Board opening

PITTSBURG, KS – The City of Pittsburg is now accepting applications to fill an unexpired term on the Downtown Advisory Board (DAB).

The city will consider candidates to represent the hospitality industry within the Downtown Overlay District. The candidate appointed to this position will serve an unexpired term ending December 31, 2025.

About the Downtown Advisory Board:

The DAB acts as a deliberative and review body representing the interests of downtown property owners, residents and merchants in the downtown community. This board is composed of seven members, with one member representing the hospitality industry; one member representing the retail industry; one member being a property owner; one member living in the Downtown Overlay District (DO); and three members serving at large with a vested interest in the DO District.

Board Meeting Details: The Downtown Advisory Board meets on the third Monday of each month from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at rotating downtown locations.

Application Deadline: Submit completed applications by 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 16 for consideration.
