City of Pittsburg to host Halloween events

PITTSBURG, KS – The City of Pittsburg is gearing up to host two trick-or-treat events on Halloween Day, Tuesday, October 31.
The Pittsburg Trunk-or-Treat event will be at City Hall from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Thanks to help from the Pittsburg Public Library, Pittsburg Fire Department, Pittsburg Police Department, and Memorial Auditorium, there will be a graveyard, spooky forest, haunted castle, Bookmobile, and more.
The Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department Spooktacular will also take place Tuesday, October 31 at Lincoln Center from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm, with a costume contest at 5:00 pm. Awards will be given to the best handmade costume, funniest costume, and scariest costume. Activities include carnival games, treats, a car show, and more.
Both events are free and no registration is required.
