City Releases Statement Regarding Issue at Wasterwater Treatment Facility

PITTSBURG, KS – On Sunday April 20th, 2025, The City of Pittsburg discovered an underground pipe failure at its Wastewater Treatment Facility, this failure was on an influent pipe that leads to the plant. Monday April 21st, 2025, the city began repairing the failed pipe and has been in correspondence with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment concerning the incident and repair activities.
