East Quincy Street Reconstruction Project begins

PITTSBURG, Kansas – Construction for the East Quincy Street Reconstruction Project is now underway. Motorist should start to see traffic control devices installed for the project.
Phase one of the project will include the permanent closure of East Quincy street from Franklin Road to Taylor Street. Traffic on East Quincy between Franklin Road and Free Kings Highway will be limited to local traffic only. Motorists need be aware that traffic on Rouse Street will be reduced to two lanes with lane shifts on North and South bound lanes through the project area around Quincy.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible, to slow down and use extreme caution when traveling in the area of construction, and be aware of workers in the work zone.
