Mayor Johnson resigns, leaving vacancy on Pittsburg City Commission

PITTSBURG, KS – Due to his recent election to the Crawford County Commission, Pittsburg Mayor Jeremy Johnson has resigned his position on the Pittsburg City Commission.
Persons interested in being considered to fill the unexpired term vacated by Commissioner Johnson are asked to complete and submit an application no later than 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 5. Applications can be obtained at the City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall, 201 West 4th Street, Pittsburg, or online at the City of Pittsburg’s website, www.pittks.org. The term will expire in January of 2020.
The public is invited to attend a reception honoring outgoing Mayor Johnson at 5:00 pm Tuesday, December 11, in the City Commission Room, located at the Beard-Shanks Law Enforcement Center at 201 North Pine St.
