On Friday morning, May 3, 2024, at 7:39 a.m., law enforcement officers from the Pittsburg Police Department were dispatched to 522 S. Broadway St., in Pittsburg, for a report of a male suspect masturbating on the sidewalk outside of a business.
Upon arrival, officers observed 58-year-old Donald S. Pope, of Pittsburg, at the reporting location pulling up his pants. Mr. Pope was identified by the reporting party as the individual who was masturbating in public. Mr. Pope was taken into custody and searched pursuant to his arrest, at which time an item of suspected drug paraphernalia was located on his person.
Mr. Pope was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Pope was booked into the jail at the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, where he is currently being held without bond.
