Pittsburg Fire Department Job Fair set for Feb. 4

PITTSBURG, KS – The Pittsburg Fire Department will host a Job Fair on Saturday, February 4, from 9:00 am – Noon at Fire Station #1, 911 W. 4th St, Pittsburg. Those interested in fire service careers are encouraged to attend.
Potential applicants will be able to tour Fire Station #1 and meet members of the PFD team. Department staff will showcase firefighting apparatus, and have periodic demonstrations utilizing training equipment.
Presentations will be given at 10:00 am and 11:00 am to discuss the rewards of working for a small community fire department and joining the team.
The City of Pittsburg Human Resources Department will be on site to answer questions and provide support through the application process, as well as share information about city benefits offered.
