Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department to host 5K on Thanksgiving Day

PITTSBURG, KS – The Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department will host its annual Give Thanks: Just 4 Fun Run starting at 8:00 am Thursday, November 22, at Wilderness Park, 907 W. McKay St., in Frontenac.

This event is open to runners of all ages and fitness levels. The Parks & Recreation Department is encouraging community members to bring their entire family (including dogs) to run, walk or jog the Wilderness Park 5K course.

Pre-registration is not required for this race. There is no fee to participate, but donations are appreciated. Proceeds from the event will support the Everybody Plays Playground in Schlanger Park.
