Pittsburg to host annual dog swim

The City of Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department is set to host its annual Dog Swim Monday, August 20, from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm, at the Pittsburg Aquatic Center.

Pooches big and small and their families are invited to enjoy a dip in the pool. A photo booth will be set up for owners to take photos with their four-legged friends.

Patrons are encouraged to wade chest deep with their pet, but underwater swimming is not permitted. Children may attend with their family but may not swim under water. Attendees must provide a copy of their canine’s updated vaccination records prior to entering the pool. All dogs must remain on a leash for the duration of the event.

The admission fee is $4 per dog. For each admission received, the Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department will donate $1 to the SEK Humane Society.
