Portion of North Broadway Street to be Temporarily Closed
City Press Releases
January 26, 2018
The northbound lanes of traffic in the 400 Block of North Broadway will be temporarily closed from Monday, January 29th, through Wednesday, January 31st, 2018, to repair the utility digs for the new Block22 building. Both northbound lanes on North Broadway Street will be entirely shut down between 4th Street and 5th Street on Monday, January 29th, so motorist will need to detour to either Locust Street or Pine Street. Northbound traffic will then be reduced to one lane on Tuesday, January 30th and Wednesday, January 31st. Work is anticipated to be completed and the street opened back up for traffic by the end of the work day on Wednesday, January 31st.
Traffic barricades and advanced warning signage will be placed along this segment of North Broadway Street. Both southbound lanes will remain open. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution in the work zone or to plan a different travel route during this construction.
The City of Pittsburg appreciates the patience of motorists and residents while this work is being performed. Please contact the Public Utilities Department at (620) 240-5126 with questions regarding this project.
