Railroad crossing upgrades to cause road closure

PITTSBURG, KS – Weather permitting, the South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad Company railroad crossing at the intersection of Rouse Street and East 20th Street will be closed to through traffic from March 24 – 31, to allow for the installation of new crossing signals, flashing light cantilevers and gates at the grade crossing.

Advance notification signs will be in place during construction. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible, to use extreme caution when traveling in the area of construction, and be aware of workers in the work zone.
