Utility work to temporarily close street

Pine Street between 3rd Street and 4th Street will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, September 10, for approximately one (1) week for gas service utility related work. Kansas Gas Service will be replacing an old service line with a new line.
Due to the location of the utility, the street will be temporarily shut down. Work is anticipated to be completed and the street reopened to traffic by the end of the week.
Traffic barricades and advanced warning signage will be placed along this segment of Pine Street. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution in the work zone or to plan a different travel route during this construction.
